Held at the bet365 Stadium in Stoke-on-Trent, the event brought together employees, customers, suppliers, family and friends to mark a milestone achieved by relatively few engineering businesses. Television presenter Jonty Sargeant hosted the evening, which combined entertainment with reflections on the company’s industrial roots and its continuing role in supporting manufacturers across the UK.

Over eight decades, Fletcher Moorland has built a reputation for helping industrial users maximise the performance and reliability of critical assets through services including electric motor repair, drives, automation and industrial engineering support. That long-standing focus on keeping plant and equipment operating efficiently remains central to the business today.

As well as celebrating its history, the event supported Fletcher Moorland’s ongoing fundraising campaign for Douglas Macmillan Hospice (Dougie Mac). Guests contributed more than £5,000 through a silent auction, taking the company’s fundraising total to £69,000 as it works towards its target of raising £80,000 during its anniversary year.

Reflecting on the milestone, managing director Matt Fletcher said reaching 80 years in business was only possible because of the dedication of the people who have helped shape the company throughout its history. He added that while Fletcher Moorland is proud of its heritage, it remains focused on investing in its people, embracing new technologies and continuing its mission of “keeping industry running”.
