Central Group hold open day with new partners Siemens LV Motors UK

To celebrate the union between world-leading Germanic technology and Great British engineering, Knowsley based Central Group recently held its very own mini Oktoberfest. The event was held to unveil the new distribution partnership between Siemens LV Motors UK and the family owned and run engineering company.

Central Group already provides expertise in the maintenance and repair of pumps and alternators, and the new partnership sees it offering Siemens’ products covering a performance range from 0.09 to 4000 kW to end users and OEMs within the utilities, chemicals, metals, paper, food & beverage, oil & gas and renewables markets.

Representatives from both Central and Siemens were on hand throughout the event to discuss the new digital technology and innovations. Visitors were also talked through the benefits of the revolutionary BluVision equipment, which can provide up to the minute, detailed information on the condition of any rotating equipment; a game changer in the field of preventative maintenance.

A team from the AEMT also attended the event to support both Siemens and Central group, and promote how the association helps its members.

Shaun Sutton, Director and Co-owner of the Central Group said, “The new partnership is a really important move for Central Group in enabling us to better meet the needs of our customers.  It enables us to provide future-oriented, high quality solutions which will add value and improve competitive advantage and what better way for our customers to find out more than at an open day with our partners.”

Kevin Brooks, Distribution Sales Manager, Siemens UK & Ireland commented: “The scale of the addition of Central Group as a Siemens Distribution Partner should not be underestimated. Not only does this partnership enable us to significantly extend the reach of our partner network on a regional level, but it also means end users and OEMs are able to access market-leading products and solutions which are benchmarked against a uniform global standard of expertise.”

Just one of the ways in which new technological developments from Siemens will deliver tangible benefits to Central Group is the introduction of Smart tags. Holding communications and localisation functions within the smart tags, this data will accompany products along the production line recognising, logging and controlling process steps, significantly increasing efficiencies and optimising quality.

Through its Partner Program, Siemens works closely with many networks of partners, all of which must meet certain high standards to gain verification in the program. The selected partners provide future-oriented, high quality solutions to add value and improve competitive advantage for all industry sectors.
