SERVO INTEGRATION DEEPENS AS CONTROL TECHNIQUES DYNAMICS JOINS NIDEC DRIVES

CONTROL TECHNIQUES DYNAMICS, a pioneer in brushless servo motor technology, has been fully integrated into Nidec Drives operations in a move designed to unify servo drive and motor offerings under a single strategic framework.

Founded in 1962, Control Techniques Dynamics was among the first to specialise exclusively in the design and manufacture of high-performance brushless servo motors. Over the decades, it developed a strong reputation for engineering precision, supporting applications across robotics, automation, aerospace, and medical sectors.

The integration is intended to align strategic objectives, foster closer collaboration, and streamline operational structures. Teams across sales, product management, engineering, operations, and supply chain are already working jointly to enhance the servo portfolio, improve efficiency, and deliver cost advantages.

“This marks an exciting milestone,” said Randy Guzman, global vice president of product management and marketing and commercial leader of the project. “By combining Control Techniques Dynamics’s proven innovation in servo technology with our global reach and support infrastructure, we are offering customers greater value, reliability, and performance.”

Joint product and sales initiatives are already in progress, with further updates expected in the coming months as the expanded offering takes shape.

Anthony Pickering, president of Nidec Motion Platform, underscored the broader strategic significance. “Integrating Control Techniques Dynamics within Nidec Drives allows us to serve our customers better than ever,” he said. “Through closer collaboration, we are strengthening our servo solutions as part of our commitment to operate as one Nidec.”

The announcement follows the earlier integration of KB Electronics, further consolidating Nidec Drives’ position in delivering unified, high-performance motion solutions worldwide.
