NEW MOTOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM SUPPORTS EFFICIENCY AND RELIABILITY IN CONSUMER PACKAGED GOODS MANUFACTURING

Schneider Electric’s latest launch aims to give manufacturers better motor visibility, faster fault response and stronger control over efficiency on busy production lines.

SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC has announced the launch of TeSys Tera, an all-in-one motor protection, control, and monitoring solution, designed to meet the demands of consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing. The new system continuously monitors key motor parameters, including running current, voltage, power, and power factor. Through digital connectivity, it transmits real-time data to automation systems to enhance visibility, support faster decision-making and deliver smarter control. In turn, CPG production lines run continuously, avoiding costly downtime.

TeSys Tera includes intelligent algorithms to not only detect anomalies but also predict potential failures, supporting proactive maintenance strategies. In high-speed applications like botting, packaging, mixing, or conveying, this leads to significantly faster fault identification and resolution, potentially reducing unplanned downtime by up to 80%. Additionally, integration with Schneider Electric’s digital switchboards shortens overall delivery time by up to 25%.

Commenting on the launch, Sean Chiu, Offer Marketing Manager at Schneider Electric, said: “CPG businesses are under constant pressure to increase throughput while reducing costs and energy consumption. TeSys Tera delivers intelligence at the motor level to empower facility managers to make smarter decisions and reduce energy costs.”
