About DISCO DRIVES

Disco Drives (King's Lynn) Limited is a Mechanical Power Transmission Engineering company in King's Lynn, Norfolk. Originally set up in 1965 as a works for ElectroPower Gears Aylesbury, there has been continuous manufacturing of the Disco Variable Speed Drive in King's Lynn since. In the mid 80's we were then procured by ATB Laurence Scott of Norwich and finally in the late 90's we became Employee owned as we are to this date. We specialise in Industrial mechanical variable speed drives, inline and right angle gearboxes and motors. All parts of our gearbox and variator range are manufactured on site in King's Lynn which allows us to remanufacture/repair/replace other makes of gearboxes and variators. We are the only manufacturer of spares for the Disco type variators and can modify existing types of variators to accept our parts, therefore extending the life of existing units. We also offer subcontract precision machining in small batches, including gear manufacture.
