Brian is the perfect fit to support the development of our pump services offering and provide real added value to our customers.

“We have worked with Brian, both as a customer and a supplier, for many years so we know just how good he is and are sure that he is a good fit culturally. Brian has spent all of his career working with pumps and I’m confident his skills and experience in this area will strengthen our capabilities and take us to the next level in relation to the repair, maintenance and life extension of pumps and associated equipment.”

Brian will work with customers regionally and nationally to support their pump requirements, both for new and ongoing servicing. Adding to Houghton International’s existing pump capabilities, Brian will be working alongside the team to support the repair, maintenance and life extension of a full range pumps.  Specialising in the upgrade and refurbishment of pumps Brian will utilise his testing and diagnostic experience and reverse engineering and design capabilities to improve efficiency and reliability of customer critical assets.

Brian Tait, Head of Pump Services at Houghton International, added: “I have worked with Houghton International for a number of years, servicing pumps that work in conjunction with the motors they were overhauling, and was always impressed with the standard of work and professionalism they demonstrated.

“By bringing together a range of expertise there is a great opportunity to offer customers an all encompassing solution for both their pumps and motors under one roof. Further to our existing capabilities we are also investing in facilities to supplement pump testing and enhancing our design and re-engineering services.

“I’m confident that we can offer a high quality and cost effective alternative to the current supply chain and I’m excited to see what the future holds.”

Independent of the OEM’s, Houghton International also supply new pumps and spares and offer on site support and condition monitoring for a full range of rotating machines, including electric motors and generators.
