Event Details

Alongside Croner the AEMT Business Support Partner we are delighted to be able to offer AEMT Members FREE, practical workshops designed to help you preempt problems, protecting your business from potential pitfalls. As well as supporting you in taking difficult and sensitive actions.

We know it’s not always easy to take a full day away from work, so we have split the day into two sessions. The morning workshop will focus on managing employees with the afternoon session covering health and safety. You have the option to attend either or both workshops. At the end of each session you will be given the chance to ask questions. Before and after each session there will also be the opportunity to network with fellow members.

Croner is a highly reputed workplace, business partner with over 70 years’ experience and each Croner consultant has on average worked 15 years within the industry. Croner are not just a source of expert help, but pride themselves in being a trusted sounding-board for our members.

The morning workshop will cover:

  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and how this impacts on employment law
  • Employment tribunals: How to protect your business against rising claims following the abolition of tribunal fees in July
  • How to reduce sickness and absence
  • Employment documentation - what you need and how often it should be updated
  • Employee discipline and grievance situations: top tips for managing sensitive situations

The afternoon workshop will cover:

  • Key H&S Requirements
  • Key Legislation changes and how they affect organisations
  • Our experiences of how compliant companies really are
  • How companies are often ‘caught out’
