SGS Baseefa is the world's leading organisation for certifying equipment for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, having issued more internationally acceptable certificates within the IECEx scheme and the IECEx Service Facility Certification Scheme than any other body.  Building on its reputation for excellence, the company became the first certification body in the world to offer the full IECEx Certificate of Personnel Competence (CoPC) for personnel working in hazardous areas, creating a one stop shop for this service for owners, plant operators and individuals.  Specifically we can offer IECEx Certificates of Personnel Competence in the repair and overhaul of Ex equipment for both responsible persons and operatives.  Complementing this service is a new website www.competency.baseefa.com which allows companies looking for competent individuals and suppliers to check instantly who is capable of meeting their needs.  The new competency service adds to the other services offered by SGS Baseefa, including the IECEx scheme for Service Facility Certification for the Repair and Overhaul of Ex Certified Equipment, which reassures users of this type of equipment that when they use a Certified Repair Facility, they can be confident that all their equipment meets international standards in repsect of its explosion safety aspects.  The sheer breadth of the support offered by SGS Baseefa, who also offer Product Certification, Training, ATEX/DSEAR Compliance and Consultancy within the Ex industry, and the company's experience and expertise, make it the ideal organisation to offer a complete package of services for the potentially explosive atmospheres industry.
