AEMT Member meetings are a fantastic opportunity to meet, learn and network with professionals in the electrical and mechanical trades. They are hosted at different locations including the premises of Members and Associates around the UK. Presentations of a technical and business angle are given by specialists in their fields.

Event Details

On Wednesday, 17th October, Steve Green and Clive Buggins of the Energy & Utilities Independent Assessment Service and will present to members on how the new Maintenance Operations Engineering Technician (MOET) Apprentice standard can help the association.

Members are welcome to join the committee meeting, please contact us in advance if you are interested.

Topics outlined will include:

  • The MOET Apprentice Standard, examining in detail what the standard does and doesn't offer the association.
  • Enrolling apprentices to the scheme.
  • Funding and support for the apprentice.
  • How the apprentice develops
  • Assessing candidates and completing the apprenticeship

Discussion:

A forum chaired by Steve, Clive and Dr. Martin Killen will discuss how an AEMT certified scheme will certify apprentices within the association, and what additional content is necessary for the standard to suit the association.
